Polka Dots & Wine: OOTD

Wearing: Sportsgirl Blouse, Thrifted Skirt, ASOS Flatforms, Sportsgirl Necklace & Bag

This outfit is an example of everything I love at the moment, polka dots, wine coloured anything and rose gold jewellery. I found the skirt on the $1.00 rack when I went opshopping the past weekend or so and couldn't put it down, I love a bargain! These shoes are also one of my favourite items in my wardrobe, I was a little scared to see how I'd be able to walk in a pair of flatforms, but they are absolutely fine and super comfortable. I love that I could throw a sweater on with this outfit and it would be totally perfect for the colder months here in Queensland.

What are you loving at the moment? Are you an Opshop lover like me?

Face of The Day!

Hello ladies. I have a quick FOTD. It is a very simple look, very natural (well, I think so).
I don't wear too much makeup during the day especially in summer due to the fact it will probably just melt off the minute I walk outside! I will list the products I used below.

Face:
  • Face of Australia primer
  • Revlon Colorstay in "Sand Beige"
  • MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer in "NW15/NW25" (I mixed them together)
  • MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural in "Light/Medium"
Cheeks:
  • MAC "Well Dressed" Blush
  • Nars Orgasm Illuminator
Eyes:
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • Sleek "Storm" Eyeshadow Palette
  • Covergirl Liquiline Blast in "Brown"
  • Covergirl Lash Blast in "Black"
  • Le Sourcil de Chanel in "Brun"
Lips:
  • Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick in "Nude Delight"

I love all these products and use most of them everyday. Revlon Colorstay is one of my favourite foundations, I hate trying to get it off at the end of the day though. I have also really been loving the Nars Illuminator, it gives such a gorgeous glow - I am thinking about purchasing the full size once I use up my little sample one.

I hope everyone has/had a great weekend!

P.s. my hair looks a weird colour in these photos! I swear it doesn't look like this normally.

Glossybox February

I received my first Glossybox on Monday and I was so excited to see what it was in it. I adore the special hot pink box that it comes in and it will be really handy to store things in. As for the contents I was really happy with the items that were in my box. I will list all the items

Carmex Moisture Plus Lip Balm, Love Birds Nail Files, Proactiv Face Wash, Spongeables Sponge, some Sweethearts Candy and an Elf Lipgloss.

For the first box I was really happy and I adore the Elf lipgloss the colour is lovely. I've also used the Carmex lip balm which was really nice and the sponge which I will be using again.  The only negative I'd have to put is that I saw some other girls got a Bobbi Brown Mascara, I would have loved to receive that instead of the Proactiv but I do like everything I got. I think I'll continue my subscription to Glossybox, for a few more months and then I'll see if it's still worth it.

I also got my Lust Have It box for February and I will try to get a post up on that soon.

What beauty sample boxes did you recieve this month? Were you happy with them?

Wildfox Summer!

If you haven't already seen these photos, you must be living on the moon. But they were too pretty not to post. I have always been a massive fan of the Wildfox shoots and this one is no exception and I love that they used Charlotte Free. I hope I can get my hands on some of these tops, my favourites are the mermaid one and the skool sucks one + the rest. You can check out the entire shoot at Oyster Mag

Are you a fan of Charlotte Free & Wildfox?

Sunday Swatches - Sleek "Storm" eyeshadow palette

I ordered this Sleek "Storm" palette on Monday from Crush Cosmetics for only $19.95. I only picked it up from the post office yesterday so I haven't had much of a chance to use it/test it out so I thought I would do the swatches before it gets grubby.
I have seen this palette on other blogs & YouTubes and the reviews have always been great - and now I can tell why! Just from doing the swatches, this palette is basically all the eyeshadows I will ever need in one sleek palette. The colours of the shadows are perfect for me, they're also super pigmented and buttery soft.  Sadly the black eyeshadow is slightly different, it's not very soft or pigmented - I'm not sure why this is.

I hope these photos show how truly lovely this palette is....

Another plus for this palette is the packaging, I love it! It is very sturdy - so if I travel, this is the only eyeshadow I will be taking.

If you would like me to do a look using this palette let me know in the comments and I will do that for you.

Hope you all had a good weekend!

January Empties

I still can't believe it's already February, this year is going so quickly already! I got the idea for this post from Emma Bovary Beauty who I saw doing these types of posts last year. I thought it was great idea so I thought I'd do the same and share the products I used up in the month of January.

Biore Deep Pore Cleansing Strips
I've been using these for about a year now, and they are definitely one of my favourite products for getting rid of blackheads and yucky stuff on my nose. I have pretty bad skin, and these are really good to use sometimes when my skin is really acting up. I was a little nervous the first time because I thought they might hurt but they are fine, and my nose always feels nice and smooth after I use them. They're a reasonable price and I will definitely be repurchasing.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation
This is hands down my all time favourite foundation, it has great coverage and such a smooth finish. If you're looking for a nice foundation I would recommend this one, and their shade range is pretty good too. I find it really counteracts my redness, unlike a lot of the other foundations I've tried. The only thing that sucks about this is that it's so expensive here (this was bought overseas). I do have another bottle which I am using now, and I've found a decent website to purchase at American prices which I'm so happy about, will be repurchasing.

Lush H'Suan Wen Hua
The name of this product is super crazy and I've tried 35323423 times to pronounce it correctly but it doesn't happen for me. It's a hair treatment that smells like chai tea which I absolutely love, I got about 3 or 4 uses out of this product depending on how much I used each time. You apply this before you shampoo and condition which I thought was really odd, but it is quite thick so it's understandable. The first time I used this I was a little unsure about it but the second time it worked so much better as I left it on a lot longer. It made my hair so soft, and the best part about Lush is they use natural ingredients. I'm trying other hair treatments right now so I'll probably give it a miss. (If you can recommend me a hair treatment for dry hair that'd be amazing!)

Benefit Bad Gal Lash
This Mascara is fantastic, I've had this for a really long time and it never dried out. It makes my lashes so thick and full and I always get compliments on my eyelashes when I'm wearing this. The packaging is also super cute and easy to use which is a bonus. When I have money and do a Benefit order I will most likely buy again.

Le Tan In a Can Jet Dry - Spray Tan
I only got one and a bit use out of this product, it gave me a nice bronze shade but went really orange on my feet (I may have over done it). I don't like that you can't be in control as much as you can be with the bronzing lotion. I do like that it dries a lot faster than the lotion though and you don't get orange hands because you don't need to rub it in. It's a lot messier than the lotion as well, I don't mind this product but the cons outweigh the pros. I will be buying the lotion next time.

I only used up five products this month and I'm aiming to use up a lot more of my Lust Have It samples this month as I've got quite the collection building up.

What products did you use up this month? Have you used any of these?
