April Beauty Favourites!

Swatches LtoR: Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, Thin Lizzy Concealer, BYS Blush, Revlon Lip Butter Strawberry Shortcake, Rimmel Lipstick Pink Gossip, Revlon Lipgloss Pink Afterglow.

It's that time again for a monthly beauty favourites post, I generally kept my makeup fairly simple in April as I was away for work for a week and didn't want to take a lot in my suitcase. Like most of my favourites posts I'll do a little overview of each product that way you can check them out if you like what you see.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation: This foundation has had a lot of hype around the blogging community and with good reason. I'm almost positive I bought the wrong shade in this product as you can see from the swatches above but once I put it on it's not noticeable at all. It goes on smoothly and has a great scent - really fresh and not plasticy at all. On me it provides a medium coverage and it's great for everyday wear. I do suffer from dry skin and this foundation makes me look dewy and awake so I think it definitely lives up to the hype.

Australis Lash Length Extension Mascara: This mascara was actually sent to me as a part of a trial team, I've tried Australis mascaras in the past and have always been impressed and didn't expect this to be any different. I already have a fairly decent set of lashes, and this only accentuates them in the best way possible. It really does lengthen my lashes a lot and it stays on all day without flaking which is a real bonus. I'm planning on doing full reviews on a few new mascaras I've been trying so expect them in the next few weeks.

Thin Lizzy Concealer: I got this in my Marc Glossybox I think and I was super skeptical as I'd seen this brand on an informercial and I thought it would be super gimmicky. I was actually really surprised when I started using it because it's a really great concealer.  You only need the tiniest bit of this to cover blemishes as it's nice and thick. I would definitely recommend trying this concealer.

BYS Blush in Fierce Fuchsia: This was in my March Favourites too, I can't get enough of this blush. I know it looks super crazy in swatches and pictures but with a light hand it gives a lovely flush of colour.

Revlon Lipgloss in Pink Afterglow: This was the lipgloss I got in the beauty bag deal from Priceline. Revlon lip products are always really lovely but the price is always way too much for me to justify so it was nice to try out a product I normally wouldn't pick up. It is such a great colour and it's not too sticky - I've been wearing this nearly every day in April.

Rimmel Lipstick in Pink Gossip: I'm usually the girl who wears red lipstick everywhere, but this month for some reason I've been wearing pink lips everywhere. This lipstick was my go to lipstick when I went out, and I think this could be a flattering shade on anyone & I love the matte finish.

Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake: Another super hyped product - well worth it as well. I don't really need to explain what the lip butter hype is all about. This is a great product and I've been wearing it a lot with the Revlon lipgloss over the top for something different.

Sorry for the long post but I love sharing what I think about my favourite products for April. I know it's not a huge amount of products but these were my favourites I wore nearly everyday.

Have you tried any of these products? What were you beauty favourites for April?

Birthday Wish List!

Hey Everyone, hope everyone is doing well. It feels like ages since I've done a post even though it hasn't been that long. I decided to put together a little wish list of things that I wanted for my birthday, to be honest I had a lot of trouble doing this because I'm so indecisive and I don't really want that much. My 19th Birthday is on the 5th May which is next Saturday and I haven't really thought much about what I want to do or anything like that. I laughed when I finished making this wish list because all the items seem to be colour coordinated how strange. I don't really expect to get any of these products but I just wanted to make the wish list anyway.

Items: Marc By Marc Jacobs Earrings, ASOS Cat Eye Sunglasses, ASOS Brogues, Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch, Urban Decay Naked Palette, Curling Iron, Mac Blush in Springsheen

Would you like to receive any of these items?

Jejune Stars

Blouse: Jay Jays | Skirt: Nasty Gal  | Necklace: Sportsgirl | Shoes: Rubi | Lipstick: Rimmel Pink Gossip

This was an outfit I wore to a friends party/birthday show, I have wanted a pleated black leather/faux leather skirt for awhile now and I finally found one for a reasonable price on Nasty Gal. I think it's pretty much a staple in my wardrobe now especially for winter and it seems to go with everything.

You probably can't tell from the photos but this blouse is actually star print, which I'm really obsessed with at the moment to. I think this all black outfit, is really simple but the rose gold accessories and star print help keep things interesting.

What fashion item are you trying to get your hands on at the moment?

Op-Shop Haul!

Just wanted to share a few things I picked up at the Op-Shops today, All of these items came to under $15 which I was pretty happy with. I think the floral blazer is my favourite find it has a great shape and I think it looks nice on me, I can't wait to wear this. I also picked up a new purse. I'm getting quite the collection of glomesh purses, I have a few already but this burgundy one was really cool and it's a round hardshell shape. I really love going to op-shops on Saturday mornings and finding bargains.

Have you thrifted anything good lately?

Kardashian Kolors Nailpolish

Hi Everyone, I've been wanting to do a post on these nail polishes ever since my boyfriend got them for me for Christmas. I wanted these so badly, and they were really hard to find so I was pretty much shocked when I opened them on Christmas Day. They are the Nicole By OPI Kardashian Kolors.

There are 14 Kolors (sorry I'll stop that) in the collection I have 10 of the 14. There are some glitters and some cream finishes. They are all super pretty and I'll let you know more about what I think of them below the pictures...

As you can see there are some lovely colours in the collection, and the glitter polishes are especially awesome. I find they wear reasonably well and lots of them only need two coats to get an opaque finish. I'll go through each of the colours briefly, so if you're interested in a particular colour you can get an idea of what it's like.

Kendall On The Katwalk: This polish reminds me of a mermaid, it looks so pretty on the nail and I love wearing it. This polish has a blue base with more blue, green and purple glitter. It looks really awesome on the nails especially with a really shiny top coat.

Wear Something Spar-Kylie: This one is pretty, pink and sparkly it has a nice opaque formula for a glitter and goes on really nicely. The only thing I did notice was that it didn't have a shiny finish and you will need to add a topcoat to this to give it a nice glossy finish.

Follow Me On Glitter: This is one of my favourites, it's a grey/black glitter with added rainbow glitter circles. I love that they added rainbow to it otherwise it would just be another standard grey glitter. I found once again it had a slightly matte finish so you'll need to add a good topcoat.

Disco Dolls: This is basically the gold version of Follow Me On Glitter. A gold base with rainbow glitter circles, I think this is the most original and also another favourite of mine. This colour is pretty opaque and you only need two decent coats to get a good finish. I really like the brushes on these polishes they make them really easy to apply neatly.

Rainbow In The S-Kylie: Yes you've probably seen something similar before, OPI's Rainbow Connection is pretty much an exact dupe for this colour. I find this colour hard to apply and you have to move the glitter around on your nail with the brush to get an even coat. Aside from the application issues it's an awesome colour.

It's All About The Glam: This looks horrible in the photo above on the colour wheel. But I promise this colour is really pretty, it's a shimmery white. You need a few coats to get a decent finish with this and I did have some streaking issues. But once you get enough coats it looks lovely on the nail.

All Kendalled Up: This is a really creamy hot pink,  I find it's easily dupable but it's a pretty colour especially if you don't own one similar. Only need about two coats with this one.

Kourt Is Red-y For A Pedi: This is my favourite non glitter of the collection, it's a redish/coral colour and it's super bright. The finish of this isn't a creamy it's more like a jelly finish but it's lovely and I've worn this one the most.

Khloe Had A Little Lam-Lam: I thought I would love this colour, and don't get me wrong it's lovely but I suck at applying polishes and this ends up all over my skin and just looks really messy. I do love the colour though and you only need 1-2 coats max.

Kim-Pletely In Love: This is a baby pink but it has a bunch of blue micro glitter in it which makes it even better. The photo above does this colour no justice whatsoever and I would recommend this to anyone who likes pretty girly nails. You do need a fair few coats of this though, I've used a lot of this polish.

Sorry for the annoyingly long post, but I wanted to give you an idea of what the colours were actually like. I think all the formulas of these polishes are really good except for the thin ones where you need a lot of coats. I would recommend 'Follow Me On Glitter' 'Disco Dolls' & 'Kourt Is Red-Y For A Pedi' as they're probably my favourites.

Has anyone else tried any of the Kardashian Kolors Collection? Which is your favourite one?

Hope you liked this post, I've become a bit of a nail polish addict lately so expect more posts.

Perfect Bun Tutorial

I have a quick little picture tutorial for you today using a hair donut.
I'm sure everyone has seen "hair donuts" or "sponge rolls" used to make a perfect bun. I got mine from eBay for around $1.47 with free shipping. They're really cheap and I find mine a necessity for everyday wear. I got the small sized one to start with but I am planning on buying the medium and large sized donuts for different looks.

I did find it hard to get used to when I first got it, I didn't know what was the best way to make sure the whole donut was covered by my hair. Thankfully I have now almost perfected the technique and thought I would share.

You will need only 3 things to complete this look:
1. 1 x Hair tie
2. 1 x Hair donut/sponge - I got mine here (mine is the "small blonde")
3. Bobby pins

Step 1: Grab your hair tie and put your hair into a high ponytail (or which ever height you would like your bun to be at)

Step 2:  Thread your hair through the hole in the center of the donut.

Step 3: Fan your hair around the donut.

Step 4: Wrap your hair around the donut making sure it is covered by your hair (this is the hardest part!)

Step 5: Secure your bun with bobby pins and you're done!

So simple yet so effective.

I hope this helped a few of you girls that weren't sure on how to use them. I haven't done a post like this before so let me know if you liked it and I might be able to do some more.
I also hope you are all enjoying your long weekend!

Happy Easter

Every Day and Every Night.

For the first time in a long time I went out "clubbing" or whatever you call it. I don't really enjoy going out very often but seeing as it was my boyfriend's birthday I thought we should celebrate. I didn't actually get to take any pictures of me before I left the house Saturday night so I re-created the look yesterday morning just for you. It is a very typical me look. It is probably similar to all the other fotd posts I have done but I love this browny/grey smokey look for night time, or anytime really. I might try and do a more colourful or brighter fotd sometime soon.

I don't like to go over the top with my make up (especially after watching the tv show "snog marry avoid?" haha) so I try keep it simple. I used two different brown shades, a little bit of a shimmery highlight on the inner corner, a dark matte brown for the outer "v" & crease and some eyeliner.

I have included all the pictures of all the products I used so hopefully you can tell what they are. If you would like to know what shades or any details of them just ask below in the comments.

I hope you all like this. Let me know what you think.
