Stila Kajal Eye Pencil in "Topaz"

Happy 2014 everyone!

For my first post of 2014 I thought I'd talk about one of my new favourite beauty finds. It isn't a new product but it is new to me.

Basically I noticed that my eyes were quite red and tired when I woke up (mainly due to lack of sleep and strained eyes from staring at a computer all day). I have quite small eyes so I can never put dark eyeliner on my waterline to cover it hence why I decided to buy this eyeliner.

As you can see in the above photo it goes on very opaque.  I absolutely love it and it's not as stark as a white eyeliner can be so it's great for every day wear.

I bought mine here.

Would you wear this eyeliner?

My first MAC eyeshadows!

L to R: Nylon, Naked Lunch, Amber Lights, Woodwinked, Candy Yum Yum (lipstick), Peaches (blush)

Recently my next door neighbour went to Hawaii/America so I jumped at the opportunity and asked for them to bring me back a few goodies home from MAC. It was sort of a rushed decision because I left it to the last minute but I knew I wanted to get some eyeshadows because I have never tried MAC eyeshadows before. I hoped onto the American MAC site to suss out prices and just to have a look at different things they offer which we don't get here, luckily for me, they do customised quad palettes for quite cheap. I had a list of the shadows that I'd always wanted to try so I went for those first.

I ended up getting the following products:

Eyeshadow Quad Palette
Eyeshadows: Nylon, Naked Lunch, Amber Lights & Woodwinked.
Lipstick: Candy Yum Yum
Blush: Peaches

All up this cost about $100 US dollars!

Let me know if you'd be interested in me doing a FOTD using these eyeshadows as I am still yet to try them on my actual eyes!

P.s. Sorry the swatches aren't so great - I don't have a great lens for taking swatch photos! Hopefully I will get a new lens soon so they will improve.

NOTD #4

Recently I decided to go and get my nails done in the "stiletto" shape. I decided to go quite short as I find long nails a little scary and annoying. This is only the second time I have ever had fake nails. I love how they turned out when I got them filled yesterday.

Would you get "stiletto" nails?

Inspired By: Lemon Breeland

Something a bit different today, I want to share with you some fashion inspiration in the form of Lemon Breeland. If you don't know who that is, she is a character from the tv show Hart of Dixie. Megan actually got me into a few weeks ago and I've been hooked ever since.

I absolutely adore the way lemon dresses, and constantly find myself saying I NEED that when she appears on screen.  I made this set on Polyvore inspired by Lemon.

What TV show character inspires you?

Review: L'Oreal Mythic Oil Trio

I received these beauties from my boyfriend for Christmas and have been using all three for the past 3 months. I have never really been into hair very much until I realised my hair was quite dry and frizzy on the ends. I knew that I needed to do something about it so I put this trio on my Christmas wishlist. I thought these would be a bit more affordable and I had only heard good things about them. Onto the review...

L'Oreal Mythic Oil Shampoo & Conditioner:

These two on their own are fantastic. The shampoo cleans so well and the conditioner leaves my hair feeling silky soft.

Cost: $25.95 AUD

Packaging: I love they the both come with a pump. It makes it so easy to use in the shower.
Repurchase: Definitely will be repurchasing both once I run out.

L'Oreal Mythic Oil:

This oil is what I call L'Oreal's version of the Moroccan Oil. This oil is mainly made up of grape seed oil and avocado oil. The texture of the L'Oreal Mythic Oil is thinner than the well known (and loved) Moroccan Oil - I actually prefer it being a little thinner as I have quite fine hair. It doesn't make you hair feel at ll greasy or heavy and leaves it feeling soft and shiny.

Cost: $37.95 AUD

Packaging: Again, the packaging is a winner, it has a pump which makes it super easy to use.
Repurchase?: Of course.

As you can tell, I am quite taken with these products. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for a bit of nourishment for their hair. These would be great for any hair type.

Have you tried any of these products yet?
