Inspired By: Lemon Breeland

Something a bit different today, I want to share with you some fashion inspiration in the form of Lemon Breeland. If you don't know who that is, she is a character from the tv show Hart of Dixie. Megan actually got me into a few weeks ago and I've been hooked ever since.

I absolutely adore the way lemon dresses, and constantly find myself saying I NEED that when she appears on screen.  I made this set on Polyvore inspired by Lemon.

Peplum & Polka Dots

Shorts: Sportsgirl
Shoes: Rubi
Necklace: Dotti
Sunglasses/Clutch: Sportsgirl

I didn't realise until I typed this how Sportsgirl centric this outfit was, I guess I'm just a huge fan of theirs. I especially love the colour of these shorts and they surprisingly go well with a lot of different things. Also these are my favourite shoes at the moment, I can't get enough of flatforms!

Would you rock a pair of flatforms?

Dear Chicago

Shirt - Sportgirl
Shoes - Urban Outfitters
Lipstick - MAC "Pink Pigeon"

As usual, it is quite a simple ensemble. I have been wearing all three of these items all the time (separately & together). You all need this shirt in your lives. The colours are so gorgeous.

Would you wear this outfit?

Let me know what you think.

Clothing & Jewellery Haul!

I've done a bit of shopping in the last week and I wanted to share with you what I picked up. I especially went to Ally after seeing Emma's Ally wishlist post. I am always a little skeptical when I go into our local Ally because they never have half of the items that they have online. I also find that sometimes their fabrics are a little questionable. I only ended up getting three things from there (only two are pictured) because some of the things I wanted weren't in store. I also stopped into Diva on a lunch break and picked up a few things, all the items were reasonably priced.

I've already worn this baby a few times and it is so comfortable. The knit is really soft and not itchy like other ones I've bought recently. I've found it actually goes with so much and I love the fact that I have more mint in my wardrobe. You can never have enough mint!

Ally Sailor Sweater - $19.99AUD
This....I have wanted a top like this forever, so when I saw it hidden in a rack I knew I had to get it. I'm usually wary of the fabrics at Ally but for such a cheap sweater the fabric is pretty decent. Although I do fear it might go a little pilly. I think this will look so cute tucked into a skirt with some brogues.

If you didn't know Diva was/is having a sale where they have reduced a lot of their jewellery to $6.00 or less. It doesn't sound that cheap but when you actually see the items they had on sale most of them were reduced from about $15 or more so it works out to be a decent discount. The chain on this necklace is so delicate and I love the contrast with the big crystal pendant. I do like the the raw crystal jewellery that is floating around at the moment. They also had this in a ring and a set of earrings but I controlled myself and just bought the necklace, even though I wanted them all.

I'm not usually one for huge chandeliers that hang from the sides of my head but I was really attracted to these. I think it may have been the spikes between the feathers that tones down the femininity of these. I also love the big circle with the flowers on them and I don't really own anything like these. I can't even picture what I'm going to pair these with but they're so pretty to look at.

So that's most of what I got, I did get a couple more things but my camera went crazy when I was trying to take photos of them.

What have you hauled recently?

Wolves & Velvet

Sweater: Jay Jays
Blouse: Sportsgirl
Shorts: Cotton On
Shoes: ASOS
Hair Cuff: Open Closet

It's finally cold enough to start wearing sweaters, which I'm actually so excited about because I've had this for a few weeks now but it's been too hot to wear unless I'm in the airconditioning all day. I couldn't believe how cool this sweater was when I saw it at Jay Jays of all places, they actually have some really great knits at the moment so I had to get it.

I wore this outfit to lunch on Monday as we had a public holiday which was an awesome way to end my Birthday weekend. I kept it relatively simple in terms of colour because I didn't want to overpower the shoes - which by the way I a completely obsessed with. The shoes make up for the fact that this outfit is mostly all black with the exception of the blouse. I think this is a really fun casual outfit and I can definitely see myself wearing this sweater a lot in winter.

I forgot to mention that I received the hair cuff as a gift from Megan and I've worn it everyday since, I think it goes with pretty much everything I own which is a huge bonus because I feel like it dresses up any outfit.

On a side note we have made some changes to our blog but we are still trying to make it just the way we want it so if you come on here and it looks a mess that's why.  I hope everyone is having a lovely week so far - let me know what you think about this outfit and don't forget to leave your blog links so I can check out your blog!

Much love xx

Jejune Stars

Blouse: Jay Jays | Skirt: Nasty Gal  | Necklace: Sportsgirl | Shoes: Rubi | Lipstick: Rimmel Pink Gossip

This was an outfit I wore to a friends party/birthday show, I have wanted a pleated black leather/faux leather skirt for awhile now and I finally found one for a reasonable price on Nasty Gal. I think it's pretty much a staple in my wardrobe now especially for winter and it seems to go with everything.

You probably can't tell from the photos but this blouse is actually star print, which I'm really obsessed with at the moment to. I think this all black outfit, is really simple but the rose gold accessories and star print help keep things interesting.

What fashion item are you trying to get your hands on at the moment?

One Dress, Two Looks

For awhile now I've wanted to start doing posts like these, to show how versatile some outfits can be. I'm the type of person that can dress like a complete boy one day and then show up in a cute little dress the next. I don't like sticking to one style, and I never have.

I've had this dress for a few weeks now, and at first I hated the way it looked on me I think I was having a bad day or just wasn't feeling it. Because when I tried it on the next time I was absolutely in love with it.
Below are some photos of how I like to wear this dress, there was more looks but we had camera issues haha. So I just stuck with the two, plus I liked these ones the most anyway.

Outfit One: This is something I'd wear on a regular basis, I wear hats a lot and I just love how comfy and fun this dress is to wear. I decided to pair the dress with some long chain necklaces with hints of turquoise to brighten it up a bit, and the red hat I feel is something that goes with everything especially white. The sunglasses and boots are some of my favourite aspects of this outfit, the boots are ridiculously comfy and cost me only $9, and the sunglasses are super fun to wear and I always get compliments on them. This may sound really silly but I feel like I should have been around in the 60's/70's so I could have worn this to Woodstock and danced around listening to The Grateful Dead.
Dress: Minkpink, Hat: Jay Jays, Necklaces/Rings/Sunglasses: Sportsgirl, Shoes: Therapy

Outfit Two: This outfit, is something I'd probably wear either out at night to a show or maybe to a party or something. This outfit is a lot simpler but I wanted the feather headpiece to be the focus of the outfit. I love wearing headpieces and hats, but every time I wear this feathered headband someone will try and rip it off my head (does anyone else get this?). The outfit as I said is fairly simple, with the exception of the head peice, I wanted to keep the shoes pretty simple as well so I paired them with some of my favourite little mustard booties from Rubi. They are amazing and I wanted a pair for so long until I found these. I think the mustard colour is fun to wear and they go really well with everything.
Dress: Minkpink, Feather Headpeice: City Beach, Turquoise Ring: Diva, Shoes: Rubi

Which look do you like best? Would you wear either of these looks?
Let me know what you think of these type of posts!

Hope everyone is having a lovely week!

Polka Dots & Wine: OOTD

Wearing: Sportsgirl Blouse, Thrifted Skirt, ASOS Flatforms, Sportsgirl Necklace & Bag

This outfit is an example of everything I love at the moment, polka dots, wine coloured anything and rose gold jewellery. I found the skirt on the $1.00 rack when I went opshopping the past weekend or so and couldn't put it down, I love a bargain! These shoes are also one of my favourite items in my wardrobe, I was a little scared to see how I'd be able to walk in a pair of flatforms, but they are absolutely fine and super comfortable. I love that I could throw a sweater on with this outfit and it would be totally perfect for the colder months here in Queensland.

What are you loving at the moment? Are you an Opshop lover like me?

Wild Flowers OOTD

Just a couple of snaps of my outfit from when Megan and I were out and about in Sydney, I love the colour and pattern of this dress. For this outfit I didn't want to overdo the accessories because it's such a statement on it's own. So I stuck with a chain headpiece (which I got a ton of complements/questions on), and just some black heel boots and my favourite black studded clutch.

This dress is unbelievably comfortable and perfect for the summertime or wintertime with a leather jacket and chelsea boots. I got it from ASOS in the clearance section which is the only section of ASOS I buy from usually for under $30 AUD. I have a major obsession with long sleeved dresses which probably isn't the best considering it's really hot where I live but nonetheless the obsession continues. I would definitely recommend checking out the ASOS Clearance section and even if it's too much at the time add it to your bag and it will probably be reduced even further in a couple of weeks.

I also kept my makeup pretty simple, just with some black winged liner and brown eyeshadows. I actually think I'm wearing MAC's Viva Glam Gaga 2 on my lips which is such a great lipstick and Benefit Sugarbomb blush on my cheeks. Please excuse my frizzy hair it was really rainy that day - but my hair is actually getting longer so I'm pretty happy with that.

Dress: ASOS Clutch: Sportsgirl  Headpeice: Sportsgirl  Shoes: Rubi  Rings: Lovisa

Check out the ASOS website for more dresses like this.

Does anyone love ASOS as much as me? I'm sure you do. Hope you're all having a lovely week let me know what you're up to.
