Sunday Swatches - Sleek "Storm" eyeshadow palette

I ordered this Sleek "Storm" palette on Monday from Crush Cosmetics for only $19.95. I only picked it up from the post office yesterday so I haven't had much of a chance to use it/test it out so I thought I would do the swatches before it gets grubby.
I have seen this palette on other blogs & YouTubes and the reviews have always been great - and now I can tell why! Just from doing the swatches, this palette is basically all the eyeshadows I will ever need in one sleek palette. The colours of the shadows are perfect for me, they're also super pigmented and buttery soft.  Sadly the black eyeshadow is slightly different, it's not very soft or pigmented - I'm not sure why this is.

I hope these photos show how truly lovely this palette is....

Another plus for this palette is the packaging, I love it! It is very sturdy - so if I travel, this is the only eyeshadow I will be taking.

If you would like me to do a look using this palette let me know in the comments and I will do that for you.

Hope you all had a good weekend!

January Empties

I still can't believe it's already February, this year is going so quickly already! I got the idea for this post from Emma Bovary Beauty who I saw doing these types of posts last year. I thought it was great idea so I thought I'd do the same and share the products I used up in the month of January.

Biore Deep Pore Cleansing Strips
I've been using these for about a year now, and they are definitely one of my favourite products for getting rid of blackheads and yucky stuff on my nose. I have pretty bad skin, and these are really good to use sometimes when my skin is really acting up. I was a little nervous the first time because I thought they might hurt but they are fine, and my nose always feels nice and smooth after I use them. They're a reasonable price and I will definitely be repurchasing.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation
This is hands down my all time favourite foundation, it has great coverage and such a smooth finish. If you're looking for a nice foundation I would recommend this one, and their shade range is pretty good too. I find it really counteracts my redness, unlike a lot of the other foundations I've tried. The only thing that sucks about this is that it's so expensive here (this was bought overseas). I do have another bottle which I am using now, and I've found a decent website to purchase at American prices which I'm so happy about, will be repurchasing.

Lush H'Suan Wen Hua
The name of this product is super crazy and I've tried 35323423 times to pronounce it correctly but it doesn't happen for me. It's a hair treatment that smells like chai tea which I absolutely love, I got about 3 or 4 uses out of this product depending on how much I used each time. You apply this before you shampoo and condition which I thought was really odd, but it is quite thick so it's understandable. The first time I used this I was a little unsure about it but the second time it worked so much better as I left it on a lot longer. It made my hair so soft, and the best part about Lush is they use natural ingredients. I'm trying other hair treatments right now so I'll probably give it a miss. (If you can recommend me a hair treatment for dry hair that'd be amazing!)

Benefit Bad Gal Lash
This Mascara is fantastic, I've had this for a really long time and it never dried out. It makes my lashes so thick and full and I always get compliments on my eyelashes when I'm wearing this. The packaging is also super cute and easy to use which is a bonus. When I have money and do a Benefit order I will most likely buy again.

Le Tan In a Can Jet Dry - Spray Tan
I only got one and a bit use out of this product, it gave me a nice bronze shade but went really orange on my feet (I may have over done it). I don't like that you can't be in control as much as you can be with the bronzing lotion. I do like that it dries a lot faster than the lotion though and you don't get orange hands because you don't need to rub it in. It's a lot messier than the lotion as well, I don't mind this product but the cons outweigh the pros. I will be buying the lotion next time.

I only used up five products this month and I'm aiming to use up a lot more of my Lust Have It samples this month as I've got quite the collection building up.

What products did you use up this month? Have you used any of these?

Wild Flowers OOTD

Just a couple of snaps of my outfit from when Megan and I were out and about in Sydney, I love the colour and pattern of this dress. For this outfit I didn't want to overdo the accessories because it's such a statement on it's own. So I stuck with a chain headpiece (which I got a ton of complements/questions on), and just some black heel boots and my favourite black studded clutch.

This dress is unbelievably comfortable and perfect for the summertime or wintertime with a leather jacket and chelsea boots. I got it from ASOS in the clearance section which is the only section of ASOS I buy from usually for under $30 AUD. I have a major obsession with long sleeved dresses which probably isn't the best considering it's really hot where I live but nonetheless the obsession continues. I would definitely recommend checking out the ASOS Clearance section and even if it's too much at the time add it to your bag and it will probably be reduced even further in a couple of weeks.

I also kept my makeup pretty simple, just with some black winged liner and brown eyeshadows. I actually think I'm wearing MAC's Viva Glam Gaga 2 on my lips which is such a great lipstick and Benefit Sugarbomb blush on my cheeks. Please excuse my frizzy hair it was really rainy that day - but my hair is actually getting longer so I'm pretty happy with that.

Dress: ASOS Clutch: Sportsgirl  Headpeice: Sportsgirl  Shoes: Rubi  Rings: Lovisa

Check out the ASOS website for more dresses like this.

Does anyone love ASOS as much as me? I'm sure you do. Hope you're all having a lovely week let me know what you're up to.

Brands Exclusive Giveaway Winner!

Last week we opened a competition to win a $50 Brands Exclusive voucher, all you had to do was answer the question 'How would you spend you last $50' well today is the day we announce the winner, after reading through the answers Megan and I decided our favourite answer was this one:

If I was down to my last $50, I go to an op shop and pick up a cheap suit, bike and book then I'd pick up some cheap mascara and lippie. I'd use the suit and makeup to help me get a job, the bike to get around and the book to escape into :) - Louise

We thought this answer was so cute and it reminded us of something we'd love to do with our last $50!
This makes Louise (she also has a lovely blog you should check out) the winner of the competition and we have passed your email on to the Brands Exclusive team so they can contact you about the voucher! Just want to say a big thank-you to everyone who entered, and choosing wasn't easy, and we loved reading the answers.

Stay tuned for more, fashion, beauty & another giveaways in the near future!

Sunday swatching - Too Faced Naked & Natural Eye Palettes

It is a very rainy day outside today so I thought I would take this opportunity to do some extra blogging as I don't have that much time to blog during the week. even though this probably won't get posted until tomorrow (Monday). I have decided to swatch my Too Faced eyeshadow palettes for you. I have two of the palettes, one is the Naked Eye palette and the other is the Natural Eye palette. I discovered these watching some youtube videos and thought they were gorgeous. I have to say I wear the Natural palette a lot more than the Naked palette though they both have great colours. The eyeshadows are very shimmery so if you don't like alot of shimmer you probably won't find these palettes that great, luckily, I love shimmery shadows.

First off I will swatch the Natural Eye palette - the photos are all just with natural light from my window.

Warning: Picture heavy!

from L to R: In the Buff, Pillow Talk, Like a Virgin.

From L to R: Birthday Suit, Satin Sheets, Unmentionables.

From L to R: Pink Cheeks (this didn't show up very well, sorry!)  , Lap Dance, Stiletto.

So that is the Naked Eye Palette my favourite ones are Birthday Suit, Silk Sheets and Lap Dance.

Now onto the Natural Palette.....

  Heavan, Velvet Revolver, Sexpresso

 Silk Teddy, Push Up, Erotica

Nude Beach, Honey Pot, Cocoa Puff

My favourite ones from the Natural are Silk Teddy, Pursh Up & Honey Pot.

All of the eyeshadows are well pigmented and easy to apply.

I hope you enjoyed these. I really like doing swatches, I find them very helpful. If I am ever wanting to buy anything, I always google to try and find some swatches before purchasing.

If you like these palettes you can buy them here or here.

Let me know if you like these types of posts and I will try do a swatching session of various make up products at least once a week. If you have any request, leave them in the comments and I will see what I can do.

Hope you all have/had a good weekend.
