Lush "Helping Hands" & "Ro's Argan Body Conditioner"

Everyone knows we are Lush fiends so I thought I would let you know about two products from Lush that I am loving at the moment.

I recently had my birthday and my sister sent me the Lush "Lovely Day" gift pack. In there was the "Helping Hands" hand cream. I have become a massive hand cream fan over the past few months - mainly because it is winter at the moment. This is probably the nicest one I have used so far. It is so hydrating, smells lovely and doesn't leave a greasy feel to my hands after applied.  Mine came in a 45g pump bottle (as I received it in a gift set) so it's perfect to just carry around in my bag during the day. you can get the normal 100g size one here.

Now onto the "Ro's Argan Body Conditioner". This stuff smells absolutely amazing. Like rose jam!
I use it as a moisturiser but you can also use it in the shower to condition your body (like you do with your hair) by applying it to your body then rinsing it off. I have never actually tried using it in the shower because I think the texture would feel a bit odd seeing as it is so thick. A little bit of this goes a long way because it has the argan oil, along with a few other oils in it so if do want to use it as a moisturiser it does tend to feel a little oily if you apply too much to your skin but it makes your skin feel amazing a few minutes later.

So basically these two products are getting me through winter. I love both and will be purchasing again once I run out.

Have you tried either of these?

Do you have any favourite products at the moment?

Ten Must Have Lush Products!

I just wanted to recommend and tell you about some of my favourite lush products you have to try to!

1. Honey I Washed The Kids Soap "Irresistible toffee and honey soap" This soap was something I wanted to try for the longest time and I ended up getting it in one of my Lust Have It boxes. The scent is absolutely gorgeous and it actually lingers on your skin, if you love the smell of honey then you will love this soap. I find it's also really creamy, and lathers well. I would recommend this product to anyone, considering I have gone through three chunks of it!

2. Tea Tree Water Toner: "Tea tree is extremely soothing and can work wonders on troubled or oily skin" This is a product I have been using for a few months now, and myself and my boyfriend both absolutely love this product. It leaves your skin feeling soothed and clean without making it oily or anything along those lines. I love the smell too!

3. Snow Fairy Shower Gel: The best smelling shower gel in the entire world! (IMO) This product is amazing, it smells like you're washing yourself in candy. It has a great consistency and has speckles of glitter amongst the pinky/candy coloured gel, it's absolutely gorgeous. This is a limited edition product and only comes out around the Christmas period. But if you can get your hands on four bottles I suggest you do. I still have a bottle going and I don't want to finish it because it makes me sad I won't be able to get it until Christmas.

4. Buffy Body Butter: "Exfoliating scrub for your seating area." This is an exfoliant and moisturiser in one, I use this as the last thing in the shower. Basically you just rub the bar all over your body and it exfoliates your skin but also leaves a nice smooth body butter on there so you don't need to worry about moisturising when you get out of the shower. I think this is an excellent product  that leaves your skin smooth and moisturised. This is a perfect product for everyone to use especially in the wintertime when your skin gets a little bit dry.

5. H'Suan Wen Hua: "Mega-moisturiser to feed your hungry hair" Please don't ask me to pronounce this product because I fail every-time! I suffer from really dry hair, probably from dying and bleaching and whatever else, when I used this product the first time I hated it - I don't think I left it in long enough or something and I was so disappointed. I tried it again though and the second time it made my hair feel amazing! It smells like Chai Tea so it is quite pleasant to have sitting on your head for a little while, I found it made my hair softer and it actually smelt nice too. If you suffer from dry hair and you're looking for a natural hair product I would say this product is worth a look.

6. Angels On Bare Skin: "Angelic, medieval cleansing wash with rose and lavender" This was one of the first lush products I fell in love with. This is an all round cleanser for most skin types and it exfoliates as well as being gentle on the skin. This cleanser makes your skin smooth and moisturised, which is something I look for in a cleanser. I hate ones that dry out my skin. If you're looking for a nice natural cleanser you should check this one out.

7. Bubblegum Lip Scrub: "Our fabulous lip scrubs are here to keep your kissers sweet." So I'm sure most of you have heard about this product before. It's a sugary lip scrub that not only tastes delicious but helps remove all of that nasty dead skin from your lips. Take a little bit from the container and rub it all over your lips, I usually lick mine off but if that grosses you out you can use a tissue or a wipe. Such a great product and perfect to use before wearing lipsticks.

8. Ocean Salt: "Cleansing lime, coconut and sea salt scrub" When I got this I didn't realise it was a facial cleanser, because I used it in the past as a body scrub haha (typical me). So I used it on my face and I actually quite liked it, although be careful because the exfoliating chunks are quite big to start with so don't scrub too hard. It actually tastes salty too (why am I eating all these products?). I feel like this product does such a good job of making my face feel like it has been exfoliated properly, and I still continue to use it on my body as well especially on my elbows and knees.

9. Wiccy Magic Muscles Massage Bar: "Wiccy is the spicy, tingly, muscle-soothing bar with aduki beans for a deeper rub" You're probably looking at this product thinking what the hell, and so was I when I first saw it. But....it's awesome! I usually use this more as a body butter type product. I think this smells like cinnamon and it leaves my skin feeling really nice and smooth. If you use the side with the beads it massages really well but they do fall out so be careful!

10. Cosmetic Warrior Fresh Face Mask: "A superhero face mask to combat spots, cleanse dirt, calm and soothe all troubled skins." This is an amazing amazing product, for me this is my favourite mask ever. The smell is a bit crazy with the garlic but it actually works really well so I can get past it. I also love that you keep these refrigerated because the mask is nice and cold when you go to put it on and it feels really refreshing. I love that it also seems to reduce the redness in my skin and calms everything else down. I adore this product and would totally recommend you checking it out, or any of the fresh face masks!

I hope this little (or really long) post helped with those of you who have never tried Lush before. I would highly recommend everything on this list plus more but I thought ten was already enough.

Please keep in mind though, that these products may work differently for you depending on your skin type etc.

Review: Kate Moss for Rimmel London

So if you know me well enough you know I'm an avid lipstick wearer and much prefer a lipstick over a lipgloss. This Christmas I was lucky enough to get some of the Kate Moss Rimmel lipsticks from my lovely boyfriend (who managed to get my favourite shades). I got four of the colours and I was so exited when I unwrapped the gift. I got two shades of red, an orange and also a dark purple all of which I absolutely love.

I wanted to share my thoughts on these lipsticks for other lipstick lovers out there, these are a must have. The stand out of these lipsticks was the formula they're all really creamy and leave a really nice satin finish which didn't dry out my lips even after prolonged wear. The lasting power of these lipsticks is also really good especially for a 'drugstore' brand. I found I only had to re apply in minor spots a few times during the night when I wore the purple one. As for the range of shades they have nine to choose from ranging from dark berries to nude. I'm quite pleased with the shades I received and they do have a really good colour payoff. One coat in some of these is plenty, but if you like more they're easily buildable without going cakey. I'm also in love with the packaging it's so sleek and minimal, but the signature in red makes it look much more classy.

Pros:
  • Great colour range - nice and bright
  • Decent price of $12 - 15 AUD
  • Really Pigmented
  • Lasting finish
  • Creamy satin finish
  • Sleek packaging
  • Buildable colour
  • Easy enough to remove
  • Scent is really fruity/candyish
Cons:
  • As you can see from the photos you don't get too much product in the tube (I've only ever worn each of them once at most so far)
I give this lipstick a solid 8 out of 10, and I wouldn't definitely buy a lot more given the chance and when I run out of my favourite shades.

Below are some tips and must have items for a lipstick wearer!

1. Paw Paw Ointment, 2. Lush Lip Scrubs, 3. Cotton Tips, 4. Lipstick (duh!)
I find it's best even if you don't have noticeable dry patches to always exfoliate your lips before using lipstick no matter what the formula. I love using the lush ones because they smell really nice and taste like sugar. I have the Bubblegum and the Pow Wow, I much prefer the Bubblegum as Lush hasn't quite perfected the formula of the Pow Wow as the top of mine when I opened it was rock hard. So after you exfoliate you will want to sink some moisture into your lips I use Paw Paw Ointment but you can use any chap stick or lip balm that works for you. The next step is to apply lipstick you can use a brush and liner if you need but I never have any to match the shades of lipstick I own (I need to get some) but I usually just apply straight from the tube and use the cotton tips to fix up anywhere where you may have gone outside the lines of your lips.

I hope you all enjoyed this review and my tips for wearing lipstick! I'm off to Sydney tomorrow to see A A Bondy at the Sydney festival and Megan and I will probably take some OOTD to put up here when we get back. Hope you're all have a great day!

Lush Haul!

Hey everyone, it's been a little while since my last post I have been extremely busy with work and have been really sick. So anyway here is a few things my boyfriend bought me from Lush - I feel spoilt. Anyway the products I got I've actually wanted to try for ages, this is what I got

- Angels on Bare skin cleanser
- Strawberry Feels Forever massage bar
- Wiccy Magic Muscles massage bar
- Vanilla Puff dusting powder
- Bubblegum Sugar lip scrub

(They even gave us some free samples of the '9 to 5 cleanser' and a 'Fair Trade foot lotion')

I have already tried most of these products out and I love every single one of them, they all smell absolutely fantastic especially the massage bars and they make my skin feel so good. The dusting powder is also such a great little idea and it isn't talcy or anything, and smells great. Out of all the products I have used the Bubblegum Sugar lip scrub the most as it is Winter here in Australia and due to being sick and cold my lips are constantly dry and wearing lipstick looks awful as all the dead skin shows up. So by simply using this and putting some light lip balm on it gets rid of all those yucky bits of skin and makes them feel really soft and nourished. I haven't mentioned the Angels on Bare Skin cleanser yet but I have used this a fair bit too, you only need the tinyest bit so I know it will last for ages and it really makes my skin feel lovely without being extremely drying, I would definitely recommend that everyone goes to Lush even if you don't buy anything just go in there and smell everything it's such a lovely store and they have some really awesome stuff and I've found the staff are always really helpful and know a lot about their products and can recommend what you need.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend, I am going to a friends 18th birthday party tomorrow night which will be really good and we will probably go out afterwards.

Has anyone tried any of these products from Lush, or do you have favourites from there you could recommend me?
